Why Nikki Monet Photography?
Your experience at Nikki Monet Photography is equally as important as the keepsakes we create together. We want your session to be designed specifically for you with our level of expertise to guide you from start to finish. From the consultation, to your styled session, to your beautiful image gallery, NMP takes great pride in making your portrait session a true experience you will enjoy.
Where are you located?
We are centralized in the Boston area but shoot throughout New England and travel worldwide! Sessions take place on location, mostly outdoors, weather permitting.
Do you shoot in studio?
Only head shot sessions are being booked in studio right now. Other sessions are only being offered on location.
How long have you been taking pictures?
I first started taking photos in 2010 and have since been growing my art into a business.
Is this your full-time job?
It sure is! I’m blessed to be able to do something I love each and every day.
What types of sessions do you offer?
We offer many types of sessions to celebrate different relationships and milestones in your life! Those sessions include couples, engagements, maternity, family, birthday, and business/personal branding. Elopement sessions of 20 people or less will be coming soon! We are not booking cake smashes or children’s milestone sessions at this time.
How do I book a session?
To book a session just email me! Both a signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required to reserve your session.
How much are your sessions?
Session retainers are 50% of your collection fee. Collections start at $295. Your collection fee covers your session, the time and talent of the photographer, and a collection of digital images. Special sessions may require full session fee up front.
Do you shoot weddings?
We don’t currently shoot weddings but we will very soon be shooting elopements of 20 guests or less!
Do you shoot headshots/personal branding?
Yes! Check out our inBusiness sessions.
Do you offer mini sessions?
We are not currently offering any mini sessions but follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or subscribe to our newsletter for updates and to see when special sessions are booking.
What is included with my session fee?
All sessions include a collection of digital images as well as your consultation, your session, and digital viewing gallery. No prints or artwork are included in the session fee.
How far in advance should I book?
It is best to book your sessions as early as possible, at least 3-4 weeks in advance is ideal.
What should I wear for my photos?
We will discuss wardrobe in detail during your consultation. We will go over the Nikki Monet Photography aesthetic as well as your desired outcome for ypur session and find outfits that best compliment those ideas.
What location(s) should we choose for our session and is travel included?
During our consultation we will discuss the best location for your specific session design. Travel is included for locations within a 15 mile radius of Boston. There is an additional $50 fee for sessions outside of 15 miles from Boston within MA up to a 2 hour distance. Additional fees apply for locations more than 2 hours outside of Boston.
How long will it take me to receive my images after the session?
You will receive your lightly touched up viewing gallery up to 7 business days after your session. Once images are chosen you will receive your digital gallery within 7-10 business days and any artwork that is ordered within 2-3 weeks depending on order.
Do you offer digital images?
Digital images are included in our collections. When you purchase digital images you will receive full-resolution digital files with a print release. This allows you to print as many of your images as you need. You receive two versions of each image. A low resolution image which is for web usage and a high resolution image for printing purposes. Individual digital images are $50 and are also available in sets of 5, 10, and full gallery.
Why are digital images so much?
Digital images have the most value because they offer you many options. Purchasing your digital images provides you with a print release allowing you to print your images time and time again for many different products without having to return to your photographer. They are therefore priced according to their value.
Can I purchase prints/products from you?
Most definitely! It is our hope that you do. We take pride in the artwork that we sell and we offer amazing quality products that are beautiful and long-lasting. Printing your images is a high-priority for us because it offers you a keepsake that can be passed down through generations. We love designing custom art collections for your family! Where should I print my pictures?
We would love to print your photos for you! Our photos are color-tested with our lab to give you the optimum color payout in your prints. We cannot guarantee images that are not printed with our lab but should you purchase digital images and choose not to print with us, we recommend MPix for printing (we are in no way affiliated with them). We do not recommend printing your images at stores such as Walmart or drugstores as the color and quality of the image will be altered.
When is payment on orders due?
Payment on orders is due in full upon placing your order. No orders are completed until they are paid in full.
When can I expect my order?
All orders are expected back to the studio within 2-3 weeks unless otherwise stated.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accepts all major credit cards, cash, or check.
Do you offer gift certificates?
We sure do! Gift certificates are available in any amount.
Maternity and Newborns
What is the best time for maternity portraits?
It is recommended that you book your sessions to be photographed around the 7 month mark. It is best to call and schedule in your second trimester.
Is maternity wardrobe available?
We do not currently provide maternity wardrobe but during your consultation we will go over wardrobe in detail.
Do you offer newborn portraits?
We are not currently offering newborn portraits but we do offer in home family lifestyle portraits which is a beautiful way to document this new time in your life and get gorgeous images of your family’s brand new addition.
